Pre-Season magazines

Ive briefly looked at both Athlons and Lindys basketball magazines. Here is what I remember.

Both have the Vols picked 4th in the SEC. Remember there is no East / West division. Kentucky, Missouri, and Florida are 1, 2, 3.

Athlons picks Stokes and Maymon first team all SEC. Golden was third team. They have Stokes as POY. Lindys has Stokes 1st team and Mayman 3rd team.

Athlon has us ranked 23rd and Lindys 32nd. Athlon says we will be two and done in the tournament.

Athlon has our incoming recruiting class as 14th in the conference.

Lindy's as Stokes as POY, not sure about Athlon.

I think Lindy's underrated us a little bit. I believe UT is a top 25 preseason team. I know it doesn't mean much, but it's nice to have that number there.

Next years recruiting class will be much higher.

I'd be happy with 2 and done in the tourney next year (as long as Stokes comes back for his jr year)

This. The class will be top 5 if they can finish well. I'd love to see stokes come back too but with a good year this year I just can't see it

It'll be tough to crack the top 5 if we close with only Nichols, I see top 10, but not top 5.

Sounds right to me. I'm curious to see how Ole Miss does. I think they'll be the sleeper "UT Type" of this year. Very talanted and under the radar. We will for sure get a bye going into Nashville.
