100 pound jockey versus a thoroughbred. If the horse wants to go, he can't really do anything to stop him. Prado's one of the best. If not for his quick action, the horse is dead right now. Shades of the late Chris Antley saving Charismatic at the end of the Belmont in '99.(utfantilidie @ May 21 said:Looks like the jockey was over anxious to me.Can't he control the horse behind the gate?

I see your point. It is my understanding the horse has a 50/50 chance making it.Is that correct?(hatvol96 @ May 20 said:100 pound jockey versus a thoroughbred. Not really. Go For Wand went down, threw her rider, got up, and tried to finish the race with her leg visably mangled. It looked serious for Barbaro, but more along the lines of Charismatic or Prarie Bayou in the Belmont.(OrangeEmpire @ May 21 said:Mmmmmm................................Hat, did you think when you heard the call that is was something similar to Go For Wand........
