Predators sold?

They have to play in Nashville next season and after that if they average 14,000 fans they cannot leave. Even if attendance stays below 14,000 the city could purchase enough tickets to make up the difference. Some local businesses really need to step up and start buying tickets.....they would lose a lot of money without predators crowds flocking downtown after games.

Dang, this was a bad week for pro sports in state. We could potentially lose 2 of the 3 pro franchises in a number of years because of what transpired in 2 days.

There was a rumor that the team is trying to be sold, but that wouldn't mean moving. I've heard that Las Vegas could be a destination, but I've also heard that because of NBA and Fedex contracts that they can't move.

Obviously, missing out on Oden and Durant would hurt the chance of staying(though Horford or Wright aren't too bad).

Nashville will probably lose the Sounds in that timeframe due to a blown opportunity on the riverfront stadium deal (blown on the part of the Sounds and their development partner, not the city). When I was a kid people always talked about Nashville getting an MLB franchise. Of course, Sounds attendance was through the roof back then and there were no Titans in town. If I recall, Nashville was on the short list of 4-6 cities when the Marlins and Rockies franchises were awarded. After that, I think former Sounds owner Larry Schmittou pretty much gave up. If the Preds do leave,I wonder if Nashville might get back on the MLB watch list in a few years?

Yeah, that's what they've been screaming about on ESPN. It will be a shame of they can't find a way to schedule around the zones so the whole country can watch those two.
