Predict how many times the suspension is discussed in UF game

Since we can't do anything about it, we might as well have some fun with it.

In studio show doesn't count, just Nessler and Dykes.

And as a bonus - how many times they show timeline of events with the picture of Pearl looking like he's constipated.

I'll say 10 discussions and 4 timelines.

Every time the camera shows our bench, smething will be said. I think there will be 3-5 timelines shown.

I think Pearl should pull a Cecil Newton and just walk down on the floor after the game and get in the handshake line.

If you count the crawler at the bottom of the screen on ESPN mentioning we're 0-1 since the suspension began, I'd say around 150 times today.

I'd say two lengthy discussions. One during each half. I say one really long timeline with Bruce video quotes.

I don't believe he is allowed near the team 2 hrs before or 1 hour after the game thus he watched from hotel room. He also was in company of the assistant athletic director just for compliance sake.

That was my point. Auburn announced that Cecil Newton would not attend the BCS Title Game because of his involvement in his sons money solicitation. They made this big address and so on, the announcers commented on it the entire game, and then guess who comes down from the stands to hug his son at the end? Cecil Newton of course.

anytime we make a run during the game, dykes will bring up how pearl should be banished to coaching purgatory. they will also talk about in pregame, halftime, and anytime tony jones calls a timeout or stands up.

my vote is 11 mentions and 3 timelines.

I'm going to say it would be easier to predict how many stretches of the game where they aren't mentioning it and I would say that will be about 4 times for about 1 minute each time. There will be 3 timelines.

i' m tired of talking and hearing about this. if pearl hadn't done all this, then we wouldn't have to hear about it. have to disagree with most people on here about jimmy dykes. i think he's very up on the game and enjoy his insight into the games. who cares if he dyes his hair. half the men in the u s do !!!

Before any of this happened, Bruce made it a point to be a media darling and get spoken about as much as possible.

Now that they are speaking of something serious he did and how insanely retarded his actions were, it's pretty condescending of us to get pissed about it.

ESPN should talk about it every single time Tennessee men's basketball is mentioned...Pearl brought that on himself and everyone involved with the program.

Quit blaming the media and blame the damn coach who caused all of it. ESPN didn't make him act like a retard.

Also, as long as BP is the coach of this program, it's going to be brought up. This season, next season, 10 seasons from now...it's never going to go away.

Notice how the Lane Kiffin crap is becoming obsolete now that he isn't here? THAT is why many people want Bruce Pearl gone, because it's ALWAYS going to be a smear on our program as long as he is our representative.

They mentioned it 18 times on Sat at Ark. And 3 or 4 timelines. So I will go with 20 tonite on times mentioned and 3 timelines.

I really hope they put the graphic up there that gives us the timeline again. I sometimes sit around trying to remember whether the barbecue came first, or the investigation about the barbecue, or the lying, or the press conference, or the slive suspension.

It's good to have them laid down in order, with graphics. Preferably when there is live action going on behind the graphics; that's always best.

I do not know, but I hate it. It is like when we play Kentucky how many times they say we've beaten them. remember it last year those guys on ESPNU were TERRIBLE

Yeah...i wasnt aware that so many people care about UT basketball that espn thinks they need to give a daily progress report of how many days pearl has left on his suspension.

It would be cool if they embedded a countdown clock in the corner of the game, with a smiling pic of Pearl. One of the big cheesy grin pics, I think, would match the countdown theme nicely. And a pic of Tony Jones with that confused/constipated look beside it.

Hahaha. That would be great. Maybe they could have a graphic of pearl dancing in checkerboard suspenders at every milestone.
