1. Jimmie Johnson. Until proven otherwise he's the man to beat.
2. Kevin Harvick. Solid all year.
3. Denny Hamlin. He'll win some races, but have a few bad finishes.
4. Kyle Busch. Obviously who I'm pulling for, but it's not gonna happen.
5. Kurt Busch. The only other driver with a realistic shot imo.

1. 14. Smoke is getting hot at the right time and after his run at Atl. he's got a great shot on all the intermediate tracks. 2. 48. Close but no cigar. Everyone will race JJ very hard this year. They've got to be as tired of him winning as a lot of fans are. 3. 11. The fedex guys always seem to find a way to screw themselves. They will likely win 1 or 2 but will also likey have a DNF or 2 to go with them. 4. 29. Happy has been consistant all year but it will take more than just top 10's this year. He will have to win at least 1 or 2 to have a chance. 5. 18. Like his teammate inconsistancy will prove to be Busch's downfall. Although he is my pick for darkhorse this year.

1. Jimmie Johnson - I hope not, but until someone shows they can beat him...
2. Kevin Harvick - Most consistent all season, should continue through Chase
3. Denny Hamlin - Jimmie's biggest threat in reg. season, but will have problems in Chase
4. Kurt Busch - Could be Jimmie's biggest threat in Chase*
5. Tony Stewart - Getting hot at the right time
6. Carl Edwards - Like Stewart, getting hot when it matters
7. Kyle Busch - Will be a threat, but too inconsistent
7. Jeff Gordon - Will probably win a race, but not a Championship contender
8. Clint Bowyer - Not a contender
9. Greg Biffle - Not a contender, but will probably win a race in Chase. Dover?
10. Jeff Burton - Not a contender
11. Matt Kenseth - Not a contender

*Kurt Busch could win because of a running "Bristol autograph streak" I have incountered. I got Ron Hornaday's autograph at Bristol in August of 2007, and he went on to win the Truck Championship. I got Jimmie Johnson and Johnny Benson's autographs the next year at Bristol, and both went on to win the championship in the Cup and Truck Series', respectively. I got a mini helmet signed by Kurt Busch this year at the Spring Bristol race. Will the streak continue?...

God I hope not! Kurt Busch is an absolute PRICK!! I have met him a couple of times through a friend at AMS and as bad as he gets portrayed in the media he is 10 times worse in person. I'd seriously prefer ANY driver win over him! For what it's worth the runner up in the absolute PRICK contest would have to be Chad Knaus. He may be the most obnoxiously arrogant human being on earth. When he doesn't get his way he actually says "Do you know how many championships I've won?" I heard him say this myself during an argument over how one of JJ's trophies would be shipped to the race shop.

Chad comes across to me as a guy with OCD and everything must be in a certain order. That might be part of the reason he's had so much success in the fact that he pays attention to every little detail even by acting like a prick.

Do we get extra points & if so when are the picks due in. I have one on another and have picks due after race 2. Just curious.:eek:k:

No, just curious what you thought. Broyles is over any of the pick em contests.

I agree he has OCD. I myself have it. Having OCD however is not an excuse for treating people you don't even know as subordinant pieces of sh!+. Which unfortunatly is exactly what he does. I've seen it in person. He actually brought an unpaid volunteer working near the pits to tears.

It looks like a couple of people have the top 3 right so far. Harvick is doing much better than I thought he would with 3 races remaining.
