Hey guys, Any predictions on the Kentucky/UT game tomorrow night?

My Cats are coming off a solid smackdown of LSU. I saw where you guys lost at UofSmell but they are tough there. We only beat them by 2 points there. I see tomorrows game as being tight early on.

We have a rising star in 7-4 Shagari Alleyne and our #1 rated freshman class is really coming on with Rajon Rondo at the point and Bradley and Morris. Joe Crawford is back after some soul searching and had a good contribution.

Being that Crump will be slowed a bit by injury to his ankle I see us going inside to try and get UT in foul trouble. Our guards Sparks and Azubuike are starting to feel it from Treyville and if you key on our post players Alleyne and Morris and Chuck Hayes we can burn you.

I see a close game early on and a 74-63 cats win. Hopefully we wont need a late 3 to tie the game like we did last year in Knoxville. Anyway, good luck against the rest of the SEC, just no luck tomorrow.LOL

w/o Crump, we have no threat down low. Wingate played ok last game, but we need Crump. Kentucky by 20. Im being realistic here. I want to win and I think we can win. We always play UK tough at TBA. But w/ no weapons besides the outside shooting, I think we may be in trouble. But who knows, maybe they can adjust and come out smokin. Go big orange!

Well, I remember when we were playing football this past season...UK/UT and I predicted UK would get whipped real bad..it wasnt nearly what I thought and we hung in there and almost won. I think UK fans have the same mentality in Football as UT fans do in basketball and we almost perpetuate our own mediocrity in each of our weaker sports.

I know Uk wants to build a football winner...REAL BAD..to bad it seems as we just paid the price recently and are just now getting ready to climb out of the Mumme hole. UT fans have a similar problem in basketball. Just my opinion.

So to sum up what I just posted, I se a tight hard fought game and UK to win at the end. But this will be no easy win for UK.

I always get upset after seeing us lose to Kentucky in basketball but then I think and realize that we'll get our revenge come football season so it balances out :)

I bet you were alittle nervous in football this past season, less than a minute to go and UK ws still leading on the scoreboard. LOL..Deep down I knew we would lose and this deep down feeling is the same thing that both UT and UK fans have to overcome in their weaker sports. Its almost like reverse prayer.

UK wins but in a close one.....Only way UT wins is if we come out firing and get RED hot....We need our shooters to come out firing and play defense...Just like in Louisville and all the other games....We must avoid stupid turnovers and fouls...in other words..."no stinkin thinkin"

You guys were getting HOSED by the refs in Tardtown, UofSmell was hacking and smacking that whole time. Right after Peetino got that technical it appeared he owned the refs.

Never.....Holy crap thats a long time. Basketball upsets happen here and there. Football ones are harder to come by.

I know we hired a Football AD that used to be part of the administration at UT. Mitch Barnhart. I think he knows we need a major upgrade. Our fanbase and facilities are next to almost none in football. We are preparing to add an indoor basketball practice facility for basketball...Funny thing is we already have one for football.

We have no reasons for not winning more so I just pray you are wrong. Its going to take a big effort but the desire is there. Our fans are hungry to be great in both major sports. I wont ever take our basketball for granted but conversely I wont take it for granted that we wont succeed in the future in football either.

We are a basketball school but there is no reason we cant go to bowl games and win at least 7 ballgames every year at UK, with the occasional SEC challenger. It sounds funny to hear it saidby a cat fan, but I honestly believe its coming. I even have asked Bear Bryant the former UK coach from the past to release his curse as we have paid enough.

Ya know I'm very surprised Kentucky isnt better than it is at football...they are a basketball powerhouse cuz of the tradition and winning ways....recruits love kentucky.........I think you guys should get a good football team in the next few years......You have so much access to so many states....Kentucky is so close to so many states that you should be able to recruit them well once you get a coach that changes the program.......a big coaching hire or a young up and coming coach would be huge for you guys......kids love to play in the sec....and since yall are a public school you should be able to get the players needed (unlike vandy where ya gotta be a genius to get in :) ) of course the argument goes both ways....tennessee basketball should be better as big of a school it is but i think we'll get better too...i like buzz alot

Is that Ron Jeremy in Ashley Judd's sweatshirt. Hilarious. I am afraid the Cats young guards are really coming on, and I believe the will wear the Vols out by the middle of the second half.

There are some similarities to UK Football and UT basketball to be sure.

Oh and Lexvol that is Ron in her sweatshirt :p ...The Hedgehog strikes again. LOL

Yes, our guards are really coming on...Sparks, Azubuike, Rondo, Bradley and Moss and Crawford is a timebomb waiting to go off.

Ky has terrible highschool football (some of my JV teams back in GA could play varsity up here). They just added spring football about five years ago, so they have a long way to go talent and instruction wise. Frank Minnifields of the world are doing everything they can to change that.
Crawford and Bradley will both be superstars, and Ravi is just one of those guys that plays for the name across his chest.

Actually, hasnt Kentucky beat Tennessee head to head in high school all star games several times lately?

Anyway, here is a gift from Dynasty Defenders to Vol Nation

The highschool football in Tennessee is not much better than Ky. Growing up in GA and playing against Valdosta and others led to the post. I think that KY and TN kids have trouble adjusting to the speed of the game. Just not that much team speed on both sides of the ball.
