A couple ot items…
First off, thank you OMG for your post about our Maxims and your story about your dad… powerful words, I wish you knothing but the best for your presentation at the Alvin York State Park to recognize those other hero’s of Tennessee.
Secondly, all my Best to CJH and our team when they face a now challenging team in Missouri tomorrow. I’ll definitely be cheering (remotely) for a big win… as well as those Rebels as they face head on those pesky Bulldogs in Athens.
I came across two related stories (my motivation for this post)…
1. Michigan likely to face NCAA’s wrath more quickly with 'fast-tracked' investigation. This story states the B1G is going to try to hold Michigan accountable for cheating (a 2 game suspension of Coach H) for sign stealing allegations.
2. Let's all collectively, as SEC fans, say a prayer for Alabama This SECRant input from an Alabama fan encourages everyone to get behind Alabama to “win“ 1000 victories before Michigan does “for the best interests of the SEC.
My $.02..l
1. If Michigan allegations are true (e.g.they violated standards that all other teams are held accountable to, then the “penalty“ by the B1G10 is just the tip of the proverbial iceberg… as stated before, there should be plenty of wins “vacated” by the NCAA in lined with what we went theough following the abbreviated CJP years.
2. The Alabama fans out there are desperately trying to maintain their perceived place on the CFB “greatest program” pedestal by suggesting the SEC fans get behind them to proclaim to all they are the best. I really hope we beat Mizzou and UGA next week (and have some help by the Rebels this weekend and have a chance to play UA (assuming they beat the Wildcats this weekend) to re-assert our VOLS position in the SEC upper echelon. To heck with Bama… I certainly wouldn’t advocate for them to carry the SEC mantra for CFB histor, we have plenty of history of our own to be proud avout.
