and I don't think there should be.You serious???
Not only is that phrase not in the constitution, there is a prayer every inauguration of a new president.
and I don't think there should be.
its a solid idea for any government, whether or not its in our constitution. They are supposed to be working for the nation. leaving any bias at the door and coming up with real solutions for this nation, not trying appease their maker or make a decision that appeases that maker either.
if they want to individually pray before the meeting, I have no problem with it. acting as government officials they are on public time, not private time.
You responded to me.Ah. Fear of words. Sawft.
You'll pardon me if I leave you with this conversation here. You proved brilliantly last night that you are same old Luther. Say stupid things, get cornered, move the goalposts, call people stupid. A complete waste of time.
I hope you have a good day.
That is 100% accurate. The gas isn't marked up much at all but is the magnet that brings people to the store, where in turn people go inside and pay huge markups for drinks, snacks, etc.or any soda. or really anything.
IIRC gas is the least marked up item by a gas station. not counting the taxes they don't levie.
a business can charge whatever it wants to charge, so what's the harm in consumers knowing the wholesale price. Even if the consumer knows the wholesale price can still buy the product if he wants to buy it.Why do you care so much what the markup is? I don't really care what the margins are. I'm not a shareholder of theirs; I'm a customer.
If I think something is a good value for $5, I'll buy it. If an identical product comes available for cheaper than that, then I'll buy it. If both products are $5, but I like one more than the other, I'd buy the one I like more even if it was marked up more. Hell, I'd still buy the one I liked more even if there was a cheaper one that was marked up less.
What you are talking about kind of sounds like a game to deny the company making "too much" money or charging "too much" for a product, which I actually get. My father-in-law plays it all the time. He tries to guess or find out what their cost was and if in his judgment they marked it up "too much" he won't buy it, even if it is something he really wants and it is that same price everywhere.
Your boi Barry Soetoro was the first to wield "a pen and a phone". It's funny how you Marxists are surprised when the **** you pull comes back to bite you in the ass.Another way of saying the bolded (at least for me) is:
"I've never known a people willingly yield so much power to a president. It's kind of amazing."
“People who decidedly don’t need the money”We can cut to the bone, but if we keep offering tax cuts to people who decidedly don't need the money at the expense of the working poor and the elderly, that's not right.
We have a both problem. Every spending cut = tax cut to the GOP. They just borrow more and more and more and more. The last fiscally conservative Congress/Pres years we had was under Clinton, for God's sake.
