Further than that. It only says “congress shall make no law….” Individual states had official churches after the constitution was ratified and it wasn’t unconstitutional. The separation of church and state myth was pulled completely out of someone’s rear end.The first amendment has been so distorted over the years by the left. It basically says the government can't prefer one religion over others - a state sponsored religion.
Nope. But I would be thrilled to change it to a moment of silence. Were you one of the goobers that complained about prayers before kickoffs at Neyland?
a judge ordered Trump to pay billions in foreign aide by midnight tonight "or else". Have not heard if Trump has paid or not.
Good god (keeping in the theme) hog.....how many times are you going to repeat that? What do you not understand about freedom of and not freedom from?
I think they start every meeting in Iraq with a prayer.
Do you think it is a good thing that they start meetings in Iraq with a prayer?
I don't even understand the question.
But I think public prayer should be avoided under most all circumstances.
lol.....That may be the perfect example................and your team winning.
Luckily trump hasn't gotten us to the beheading part yet, now forced submission - he's pretty much there.
And what % of the group should want to pray before it is acceptable in your eyes? 30%, 51%, 80%, 99% - and how are you going to know?
lol.....How are they going to abstain from hearing the prayer?
You're talking about a moment of silence - which is a completely different thing - if you actually think about it.
I hope you're not searching for logical consistency.
Not me. I would view all 3 as pointless, intrusive, and small minded.
Have a moment of silence and all 3 can say their own little prayer while all others are spared the nuisance.
It wasn't optional. A prayer gathering 15 minutes before the meeting at the Tammy Faye statue would be optional.
The hearing it part.....which would be the most intrusive aspect.
Good god (keeping in the theme) hog.....how many times are you going to repeat that?
I think even the dumbest of the PF posters understands that.
Here's the thing. I NEVER said anything about it being unconstitutional.
Once again.....you guys read what you think is being said instead of what is being said....
It's epidemic in the PF - at least related to my posts.
Here are my posts..........
So you see how wrong you were.....good. Finally. It's a dadgum battle sometimes.
And who's bitchin? It's you guys who seemingly have your panties in a wad.
I just think it's stupid.I was wrong, unlike Louder you didn't cry about it's constitutionality. You just cried because people you don't know or care about heard a prayer.
