President Joe Biden - Kamala Harris Administration

You and your family are fine...ok. So your raises have been more than inflation? Do you realize the average family is not fine.

Some people don't truly care to comprehend the hurt. Let's look at gas prices alone. Gas has gone up on average $1.41 person gallon year over year (probably more since Biden took office). Let's take a conservative example. You use 20 gallons to fill up once a week. That's an additional $28.20 per week. That averages to $122.20 per month, or $1,466.40 per year.

That is only for gas. It's worse than that for many. This is not including all the other price increases, empty shelves, increased crime, worse school results, the general degradation of society, the sieve at the border, the head in the sand policy decisions, etc.

Do you think wages rise this fast? This is an awful administration policy wise. We won't get into the low character and lack of honesty.

The small 6 percent raise I got this year has been pretty much swallowed up entirely by inflation.

I'm actually not struggling in the least.
If, as so many like to say, "it's the economy, stupid", then I and my family are all fine. All better off than 2 years ago.
But I know that it's about more than just the economy, and I also know that many view themselves as being worse off economically today than 2 years ago. And I know that some of those will give Biden far more blame than he deserves.
I said before, during, and after the election that the one overriding priority, with no close second, was Trump's defeat.
That was obviously accomplished. Now the country can continue its slow climb out of the Trump abyss.
What abyss did trump cause that wasn’t strictly feelings related?

Who is economically better off today than 2 years ago and why would they be? Maybe someone that sold their home and just hasn’t bought another one yet? Maybe the blm scam artists that are buying $6 million homes.
U.S. companies posted record profits in 2021, jacking up prices as inflation surged
U.S. companies post their biggest profit growth in decades by jacking up prices during the pandemic
U.S. companies posted record profits in 2021, even as Americans struggled with rising consumer prices amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
When taxes are factored in, last year’s corporate profit increases were even more of an outlier. They soared 37% year over year, more than any other time since the Fed began tracking profits in 1948.

Biden has overseen the greatest increase in corporate profits since Fed began tracking in 1948.

I understand the economy enough to know it has always experienced periods of recession and inflation.
And know that gas prices have always fluctuated.
I know these things would have happened to some degree (less or more?) no matter who was president.

It's for the greater good of poor people huh, but many of them don't have cars anyway huh?

Why corporations are reaping record profits with inflation on the rise
Despite rising inflation, major U.S. corporations are reporting record profits, as companies pass rising supply-chain costs onto consumers. Economics correspondent Paul Solman explores whether concentrated market power is contributing to inflation.

It seems as if the question is, does record corporate profits mean there are people better off than they were before?

Careful with your answer...........it's almost a Catch 22.

Hey look!! Bigfoot riding a unicorn.
2000 Mules has already been shown to be pretty much nothing more than right wing propaganda.
The videos have been investigated and no illegality found.
What ‘2000 Mules’ leaves out of ballot harvesting claims
I’ve certainly heard of “2000 mules”. I have not seen it. And this article is the first I’ve read on it.

I would imagine this quote from the GBI sums it up nicely-

“As it exists, the data, while curious, does not rise to the level of probable cause that a crime has been committed.”
- GBI Director

Do you think the Covid Response, which began in earnest about 3 years ago now, has played any part in the inflation we are seeing now?

I agree, and Russia's invasion of Ukraine has only compounded the impact.
Well, yes.

No reasonable person would select ‘no impact’ when assessing the Russian invasion’s impact on the current state.

But I do believe it is being played up. And I understand why.

It’s not a catch 22. Nobody is better off some can just absorb the impacts of this abysmal administration better than others.

Are you claiming that you believe that what has transpired due to Covid has not had an impact on the economy?

Of course it has that's why it's even more important for good decision makers. Even just as important was at least trying to hold China accountable. What we saw was straight BS from China apologists. We should all be outraged but instead one side thought they could gain a political advantage protecting China which gave them enough time to get rid of more evidence. It's egregious. A lot of people died.

That has nothing to do with the average American other than higher costs, you stated that “you” were better off so unless you are the CEO of one of those companies how are you better off than two years ago? You aren’t and you aren’t being truthful

More would rethink their primary vote. The people who despised Trumpism in 2020, despise Trumpism even more in 2022.
Trump and company have done nothing since election day 2020 but prove themselves to be even worse than imagined.
People aren't going to forget Jan 6 and the whole attempt to steal an election.
Your level of lunacy and butthurt is amazing

You are lying through your teeth about not struggling or being a teacher. Why anyone engages with you about anything related to politics hoping for a serious discussion is beyond stupidity. You claim you live near Atlanta which has higher inflation than nearly every other metropolitan area. I am a teacher in Georgia and am well aware about how much you make if it’s a public school which pays much more than private schools. You either are surrounded by similar kooks who think like you that are still obsessed with Trump or you’ve never spoken to an average person. I work in a very conservative region of Georgia but in a relatively moderate suburb that went about 50/50 for Trump/Biden. I coach and meet with parents on a constant basis who don’t know me personally. The common theme for all of them is financial issues and gas prices. If they tell a complete stranger those things, what do you think they discuss at home? I can assure you it isn’t January 6th or abortion rights.
This right here, there are 4 or 5 on here who I will not acknowledge because they are completely disingenuous and consistently push false narratives.I am of the opinion if you don't respond to them they will fade away.

Many have had enough, and just as many have had enough of the Trump nuts (MTG and etc...) from your side.
The one certainty is that people are more divided and polarized than ever......just as Trump/Bannon/Stone etc....hoped.
The polarization started way before Trump, but all you know is Trump upsets you to the point you still soil yourself and cry and pee when you hear his name.
