Think about all of the container ships on the oceans and what their fuel bill is now since most can no longer burn bunker fuel and are running off marine diesel.

We are seriously thinking about stopping by and talking to the Amish about some pork on our way home . My brother in law got a great deal on some pork chops and bacon from them .

I wonder if the staunch democrats like Luther are happy with his progress so far? A school teacher would have to take out a loan to buy his family a steak dinner these days.

He isn't being truthful if he says it isn't impacting his family. Food prices have skyrocketed during the last several months

Of course it's cheaper. By going directly to the source, you get fresher product and cut out tons of middlemen that mark the price up along the way. Unfortunately, we don't all have a local Amish contingent near us.

See. And people could save their money. Have a big deep freezer. Buy a butcher beef about $1 a pound. Spend about $500 to process it at a local butcher shop. Have about $1500 total in it. End up with 570lbs of meat or so. And just under $3 a pound for everything. Ground beef, steaks, roast and all

$1500? I guarantee you a good many dont even have it..Spend, Spend, Spend, but I get what u are saying. So much stuff and clutter to keep up latest gizmos and fashion to those that can least afford, but prudence and practicality is out the window.
I used to wear my Cremeaux pants from Dillards along with a Polo button down out for work, with nice suede leather shoes. Ruined a many.
Now I wear jeans, a company shirt, and tennis shoes or steel toes as required, Free of that consumerism ****.
