President Obama better than Reagan after 18 months?

So says Siena College Research Institute, which is made up of 238 presidential scholars. President Obama has surpassed President Reagan after only 18 months.

In the same ranking, FDR tops the list, with Teddy coming in 2nd. Yes, FDR and Teddy > Abraham Lincoln, and George Washington - who come in 3rd and 4th.

JFK comes 11th. Jimmy Carter, 32nd.

George W. Bush, 39th. Andrew Johnson follows everyone at 43rd.

According to the same ranking, President Obama is the 8th most intelligent President we've had, while Reagan was only our 36th most intelligent President.

Obama ranks 17th in handling of U.S. economy, while Reagan ranks 21st. FDR comes 1st.

I'll stop responding to myself, but how can you even seriously rank Obama at this point? It's ridiculous. I'm not advocating any ranking for POTUS Obama. To me, it's very early, especially to be ranking him above John Adams, Ronald Reagan etc.

Really? Take a look around.

Domestic Accomplishments: 16th?

It's a silly comparison because they each serve in and respond to very different circumstances, much of which is not in a president's control. There is a certain element of luck to how you are going to end up being perceived years, decades, or even centuries later.

I wondered this too, since it's obvious to anyone without a thrill running up their leg that Obama isn't particularly bright.

Clinton is 9th and he can run intellectual circles around Obama.
