Georgia and South Carolina the two teams that beat us this year both played a consistent press coverage rather than a zone like others had done all year. I was rewatching the Vandy game and in that game they showed a play from the South Carolina where they pressed and forced our WR receiver inside where he was very open at times. This is my question has Tennessee become so fixated on hitting the deep outside post and over looking the inside slants that are there for the taking?

True but there were a few plays in the Vandy game where he look better when it was a slant rather than going deep.

Except he’s been on the money on every post route, deep crossing route and slant he’s thrown this season. He only overthrows deep touch passes down the sideline. Bullet passes over the middle he’s been pretty good.

I'm not sure about that. Milton is bad to overthrow on the deep ball, but he isn't too bad on intermediate routes.
