Is there not a role about being airborne that makes it a block instead? I'm not sure... I just remember a similar situation with Stanley Asumnu that they called a block because he had already been in midair even though the defender was set - it may have been one of the TV announcers being stupid though.

Im not sure either....It just looked as if the defender had position.

It may have just been that the ref got caught up in the moment, but I have seen this same call before and wondered the same thing....how its not a charge. Also it didnt look like the defender was too far under the basket....IDK.

Thats what I thought! Looked like the defender had position, and he tried or well pretty much did jump over him.

I think he jumped OFF of him. And what's with the other player right after the dunk trying to punk the guy on the ground? lol "My friend just dunked on you!!!"

And I have to ask... What's he doing at Anderson University?
