Pride Not Invited to Inaugural Parade

Tennessee's Pride of the Southland Marching Band not invited to the Presidential Inauguration Parade for the first time since 1965.

This is just one of those things Pride members plan to attend. Never really knew there was a chance we could be denied invitation.

Guess I'm lucky to have been able to go in 2005.

Well, the Pride has been to every one since since LBJ's parade, they have more money, better instruments, and better uniforms. Therefore, not only do they not get to go, in keeping with the theme of this Administration, the Pride has to provide the instruments and pay for the HS band to go in their place.

After all, every one has to pay their fair share and every one should be given an opportunity to enjoy the fruits of some one else's labor. Pride members and alumni, you didn't build that band!
