If you can't wait for football season to start....there is a great thing to do on Saturday, Aug 19. The UT band will be practicing marching to Neyland Stadium that morning. Somewhere around 9 AM. I'll post when I know the exact time. They practice their "Salute to the Hill", then go into the stadium and practice "Pregame". It great for anyone to attend. I'll be there...with ORANGE on. Come join me!

Hey, perhaps you could get arrested, booked and put on court probation. Muchless, embarass yourself, the university, the team and etc.

Nothing like immaturity.

If they did as in past years...they won't be in full gear. It's tough enough to perform in that uniform (speaking from experience), practicing would be near impossible.

I'm still in shock they let 'em take off the jackets and headgear during the Florida game in '03. That never hapens.

UPDATE on TIMES: The band will be leaving the bandroom and marching to Neyland at 9 AM. They will practice their "Salute to the Hill" then move on into the stadium and rehearse pregame until 11:00ish. Come dressed in your orange and get the first taste of football fever!

They did this a couple of years ago when I was taking the MCAT. They marched right by the Humanitites building where the test was being held. It was really loud and made it difficult to concentrate, but it was temporarily uplifting as well. If they had hung around and played the Gladiator theme, Immigrant Song and V-O-L-S, I might have made a perfect score.
