The portal guys that he got were not starters. Were they really D1 talent?

Were they on D1 rosters? So you think if a player is not a starter, they are not D1 talent? You’re saying that only 22 players(starters) on every single are the only one’s that are considered D1 talent, & the other 63+ players aren’t?

Keep dreaming. Lol. Dude has succeeded all throughout life. There's a reason.

He succeeded in the NFL by going to the 49ers and cowboys. The cowboys were so talented that Barry Switzer couldn't find a way to screw that up

Prime is a very proud father and believes Shadeur did not get his due in high school nor at JState. He was angry as the youngster was not given serious consideration for the Heisman this past season, his freshman year.

IMO Prime is not doing this for the best of reasons and if I'm correct he'll be exposed and this won't end well for him.

Just going to pretend he didn't dominate for 4 years with the Falcons?

I will not pretend he ever won anything meaningful with the falcons. He dominated that dishpan of water he threw at a 75 yr old Tim McCarver and he most likely has the most tackles by a CB in NFL history by pushing them out of bounds. He did not dominate the form tackle.

I think Colorado is going to be the first real test of his prowess as a coach.
Can he play the game?...one of the best ever at his position, arguably...so check.
Can he recruit?...as most point out, he got D1 talent to play at an FCS school...so check.
Does he know the game?...again, arguably one of the best to ever put on a pair of cleats... check.
Can he teach someone else to play the game at a high level?...her is where we'll all be waiting for an answer.

IMO, the talent level increase alone in tje next couple of years will make Colorado a mid-level Pac 12 team. If Sanders is a good coach, they should contend for P12 titles soon.
I like your list and would add a few more:
Can he manage a multi-million dollar business with more than 150 employees?
Can he recruit and retain talented coaches
Can he get players with big talent and bigger egos rowing together

He has done these things at a small scale at JSU but I think his self-centric nature may get in his way in the big time.

Nothing to do with the fact that Chris Miller was their QB….and they traded Brett Farve

Neon deion will recruit which will improve Colorado whether he succeeds or not. It was a smart move by the AD. He always appeared to be all about himself and not necessarily a team guy. That was my opinion. I don't expect much, but I also didn't get excited about Heupel.

I have nothing against DS. He was clearly an outstanding athlete. And he may or may not be successful at Colorado but I’d be lying if I didn’t say the stunt he did to McCarver effected my opinion of him. People can change …and be forgiven. Let’s hope DS has done both.

This fan base defends opposing team’s coaches more than their own.

Blows my mind.
Is prime a “me guy”? Yes, he’s kinda like kiffin in that regard. But the hate he gets, by some, on here seems unwarranted. And yes, we all love CJH…obviously. I personally couldn’t be more happy with him. Buts it’s okay to like/respect other people. This isn’t some high school relationship where you get jealous when your GF is talking to someone at the lunch table.

What’s wrong with defending another coach who is being attacked ? Frankly, it blows my mind the way people around here constantly attack and belittle anything not wearing orange.

I don’t care for Deion’s antics, but he’s a winner. Period. I think he will do really well in Boulder and will get a mega job in a few years. He is more than smart enough to hire good coaches to surround himself and he can obviously recruit at an elite level.

He knows what it takes to be in the spotlight and garner attention- and the kids love every second of it. A flashy and successful black coach in a typically white man’s job? They signing up for that for sure.
I’d be very surprised if Deion doesn’t take them to places they haven’t been since Kordell was chunking the pumpkin.
