Supposedly, some are saying that CHW invited CBJ to LV BB practice to give him some emotional support.
CHW: Butch, I'm really glad you came by here. I've been thinking a lot about you lately and just wanted to see how you're doing.
CBJ: Well, thanks Holly. You know, I'm not the type of individual to get bogged down in outside noise.
CHW: I just know how some of the media vultures can be around here. John Adams and many of the rest of them are just so negative.
CBJ: Well, that is one particular individual that I really don't care for. He never points out all of our many great accomplishments like our huge bowl wins and 9 win seasons.
CHW: yeah, he expects me to make the Final Four every 9 to 10 years. You just can't please some people.
CBJ: so, how are things looking for this year, Holly?
CHW: I know ur aware that I had to finally run off our leading scorer. DD just wasn't a team player. I guess I somehow missed those signs when she was a malcontent at North Carolina.
CBJ: yeah, I've had more than my share of those. Seems like these individuals come here with 5 star player ratings but with only 1 star hearts.
CHW: that's it exactly, Butch. We give them everything and get very little back in return. So, is there anything to these awful rumors that the big money guys are gunning for you.
CBJ: well, I didn't think so until I got home today. Barb was in tears. I said, what's wrong honey did you not win the salsa dip recipe competition at your bridge club? She said nobody would even touch her Dip and she found three business cards next to it for moving van companies.
CHW: wow, Butch that just sucks. You know, they just don't understand what it's like following a coaching legend...me with Pat and you with Vince Dooley.
CBJ: well, yeah, that's close enough to being right and both of our programs are so close to being champions...hey, is that John Currie heading this way.....duck, Holly, duck...maybe he won't see us....I need to just lie low for a few weeks, I think.
CHW: it wasn't Currie ....just one of my assistant coaches...but, she does have the same haircut.
Come on , Butch, as you would say, let's show some resiliency, eye discipline, and do that DAT process thing you have on all your slogan banners. How bout an affirmation.
