Freak/Mods - sorry, had no idea where to post this.

Has anyone else been having a problem just in the past few days with going into a thread and having your browser hang up and eventually getting an error message saying something along the lines of "there's a script running that's going to slow down your computer, do you want to kill it". Been using the forums for a long time, never had this problem before and don't have it anywhere else.

Thx for any insight.

Thx, I'll check and see if I need a Flash update.

Should've know there was a help forum - it's not listed in the Forums drop down which is what i normally use. Next time I'll go to the board home...

How often are you seeing that error?

often...almost every time I change threads

I know I overuse this response, but have you tried clearing your cache and temporary internet files?

I've tried the site on Safari, Chrome and Firefox and I can't seem to replicate the issue.

Is anyone still having an issue with this? I have the problem on 3 different computers and 2 different OS's. When I click on a thread the browser hangs for 15 to 20 seconds before getting the scripts message. Sometimes it hangs and I don't get the scripts message. Aggravating and time consuming. I wish I knew how to fix it.

I haven't heard of anyone having iasues. Have you made sure you have the latest version of flash and cleared your temporary Internet files?

For those having script issues, just some troubleshooting questions:

1. When did the issue start?
2. What browser are you using and are they up to date?
3. What extensions/plugins/browser themes etc are you running/installed, if any, on your browser?
4. Is your operating system(Ex:Windows) up to date? Are there any updates that need to be run/installed? (Ex:Java)

If you are running a cracked or "free copy" OS(Ex: Windows 7/8), that could be the issue.
If you have extensions on your browser, turn them all off. Then turn them on one by one and visit the site in between turning each one on.

Mine has an error that is saying "AC_runactivecontent.js." Just started today. Not causing any problems. Just pops up and is annoying.

I did all that but it didn't change anything. The two computers it is the worst on run "XP". I'm stumped. If I find a solution, I will post it here.
