Its the internet so feel free to bash all you want. My feelings wont get hurt.

IMO...

Cam Tatum needs a pair of panties and a dress. He's developed a problem of fundamental basketball. He makes too many safe decisions, cant dribble, and doesn't look the least bit motivated. He can be explosive off the dribble, proven that he can attack the rim but doesn't often enough. And when he does, he loses focus. I'm far more disapointed with him than anyone else. Stop acting like a p**** and go hard to the rim.

Kenny Hall will continue to get dominated. He doesn't get back in time to defend the post when he ventures off to the ball handler in the front court. He always looks like hes a step behind. The big men in sec play will eat his lunch.

Skyler mcbee.....please, for the sake of sanity, announcers, stop mentioning chris lofton in the same breath. He's had a few good games but hes not "deadly" or even that much of a threat. He's waaaaay too streaky and will never be able to create his own shot. A face up defender with length will always bother him. He's average on defense at best and usually cant stick with quicker guards. Its a nightmare.

Yemi is still too raw to be considered as dependable.

Maymon really needs to work on his stamina and conditioning. Those weight packs didnt help this kid much. He's always gasping for breath.

Coach martin.....he still gets time but he simply got outcoached last night. Its time to shorten that rotation. Are we more of an uptempo team? A half court team? Where is the identity? I don't see much. He looks like hes still trying to figure out what hes going to do and it needs to happen. we got to feed the post more and stop settling for bad shots.

I just dont see this team winning many games in conference. We'll be competitive but 10th does sound about right like originally projected. We are no where near where we should be and i dont think stokes is going to do much to change that. If anything, we dont lose much next year and can grow from this season.

This season was always going to be a tough one for UT. Only two really dependable players in Maymon and Golden. Not a lot of talent to go round, and I'm tired of hearing the "UT is loaded with 4 star players" garbage. Tatum and Hall aren't good players. They were back ups when Pearl coached, and they should be back-ups this season.

It reminds me when Pastner took over for Memphis and we were starting Willie Kemp, Doneal Mack and Pierre Niles. Fine bench players (and all 4-stars I think) but they were never meant to be starters.

Counzo just needs time to re-stock the cupboard. Stokes was a fine start.

I agree with most of what you say except on Martin.

You have to read between the lines in what he says. He won't just come out and say we've got no roster. Too much class to diss his players.

You're still seeing a 10 man rotation because he's looking at this as a development year. You'll continue to see it.

If you remember his quote when asked to comment on Coach K. Something like - A coach that started with a losing season.

I don't think he expects to do much with this team. That might not set well with some, but the sad reality will come into full view in the next 3 games.

Now, that's my opinion and I'm just a dumbass, but it's the way I read this season.

Agree.

This year is a complete rebuilding year. He's playing ten to find out who can play in the SEC and next year. Besides, look at how inconsistent players have been this year. You never know what you are going to get.

Tatum was a starter for Pearl.

Martin knew this season was a wash from the start. That's why you still see him experimenting with the lineup rotations in January. He's not the type of guy to lose patience with something. He'll let this season play out, develop his system and recruit to his strengths. That's when we'll really find out what he's worth.

Team is way too soft. They melt when teams play physical, like Memphis did. Especially Kenny Hall and McRae. Only players that "might" start on any other SEC teams are Maymon and Golden (as a shooting guard). We need to recruit more players the caliber of Stokes before we can compete in the SEC

Coach Martin may turn out okay or even better than okay, but it's bad enough when fans compare every coach with a losing first season to Coach K. When coaches compare themselves to K, that's beyond the pale. As bad as Dooley's "Year Zero" remarks. There are no "Year Zeros" in the big time. There's only Day 1 and every day after that you are judged on what you accomplished that day.

Problems are simple to pinpoint, but hard to fix.

Lack of instinctive, skilled, confident basketball players that were well coached before they got to campus.
