Project Veritas: PBS Counsel Says Trump Supporters’ Children Should Be Taken, Put in ‘Re-Education Camps’

The children of supporters of President Donald Trump should be seized and placed in “re-education camps,” said Michael Beller, principal counsel at PBS, whose comments were captured as part of a Project Veritas investigation published on Tuesday.

Beller said, “Even if Biden wins, we go for all the Republican voters, and Homeland Security will take their children away, and we’ll put [Trump supporters’ children] into re-education camps.”

Trump’s supporters are raising “horrible children” that will become “horrible people,” claimed Beller.

“Kids who are growing up, knowing nothing but Trump, [Trump supporters] will be raising a generation of intolerant horrible people, horrible kids.”

The PBS lawyer said the spread of COVID-19 in “red states” is “great” because it both dissuades Republicans from coming out to vote while afflicting and killing other Republicans.

PBS Fires Counsel Who Wanted Trump Supporters’ Kids in ‘Re-education Camps’

PBS announced on Tuesday that it fired Michael Beller, its principal counsel, after a Project Veritas investigation revealed Beller’s remarks regarding the seizure and “re-education” of President Donald Trump supporters’ children.

PBS responded to Project Veritas on Twitter. It tweeted, “PBS response to Project Veritas, ‘This employee no longer works for PBS. As a mid-level staff attorney, he did not speak on behalf of our organization, nor did he make any editorial decisions.'”

PBS added:

‘There is no place for hateful rhetoric at PBS, and this individual’s views in no way reflect our values or opinions.’ … ‘We strongly condemn violence and will continue to do what we have done for 50 years – use our national platform and local presence to strengthen communities and bring people together.’​

However, most people I know in real life had been completely dismissive of Qanon, 4chan etc thinking it was just a marginalized few. We now know how that turned out. So, are we really just to dismiss this? Thinking there’s nothing deeper that won’t develop over the next 3-4 years? He’s an attorney at PBS of all places. He is the “educated” that likely voted party line democrat. I would hope there aren’t many more like him out there, but after the last 4 years, I really wouldn’t want to find out.

I guess we all have to be a little more leery, but there's nothing deeper. The guy was either joking or is a 100% raging lunatic. Either way he was immediately fired. (but I didn't see the usual suspects crying about "cancel culture" over his firing.)
