So far, my favorite nickname for the UTHFC is BuJo (pronounced, Boo-Joe).

Look, for the first time since Fulmer, I started believing again in August. I was convinced we were going to show the nation we were back against Oregon - not with a win, but by scaring the bejesus out of them. I would have bet the house on a bowl game and not the 4 - 8 record that, like the Titanic, we seem destined to hit.

BuJo is now haunted by his "best staff in America" strap line in his introductory remarks as HFC of tUoT. Anyone who is not deeply concerned about his two top deputies have a gift of obliviousness I wish I possessed.

It's damn easy to like BuJo. I'm ready to take my lumps with him.

But he and the best staff in America have to make IMMENSE improvements with the Vols in Year Two despite a much more inexperienced team. It's a damn tough job, but he and his crew simply have to do it, and they are paid well to do just that.

It simply has to happen.

your comments are plain stupid, yes no one is happy, but this team will need to be rebuilt, 3 years to be average, 5 years to contend-so jump mr vol van halen.

OP, I have about 3 posters in mind that seem to habitually start the worst threads imaginable.......what do you think the chances are that you're in that group?

I think if anyone actually was standing in front of me and called Jones BuJo I would have to really restrain myself from falcon punching him.

"Best staff in America" was COACH SPEAK. Why on earth can people not grasp this concept?

If he would have said "I'll build a decent staff," y'all would have jumped all over him, too.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

How can you call this a bad thread? I want you to point out specifics of badness.

And, fade, I think I've got to take that as a compliment coming from you. :)

If you think the experience we lose will be made up by freshman you have lost your mind. The incoming class looks great so far but a group of 18 year olds are rarely as strong as a 22 year old with 4 years of college conditioning. The remaining team will be more prepared but don't pretend a coach can change everything. He can't teach talent, players are or aren't talented. He walked into a mess and everybody knew it. It is pitiful to see all these negative threads all the time.

Eighter way Eddie, why did you let a hot sexy babe like Valerie go? Or did you ask her to improve in one year or else? Eighter way, Drac, I'll take that line of coke and wait till next year, those new episodes of Supernatural better be good.

They want him to tell the world he has a mediocre staff with concerns for the future, then tell recruits after a bad loss that the coaches suck. That's the rationale of the vn ff.

At the conclusion of the 2013 season (i.e. a few days), can we even say he has built a decent staff?????

So far Ed Hale is my favorite nickname for you. ( pronounced Ed Hell ) which to me begs the question- Ed - what the Hell ? Quit messing with my coaches name -- poor attempt at humor IMO.

So this OC and DC....are supposed to go, "Hey CBJ.....our bad our blunders...we are done...we quit now. We found this website called VolNation and Eddie Vol Failin' or something said we aren't cut out for this...so later dude....we 're done man. Tell all those recruits that were bought in to what we were selling...they should've spoke to this Eddie guy before making this bad commitment to play in our system."

Wow....seriously?

Hey....if the man has had great success at other stops with these guys...then why wouldn't he make that "opinion" statement :dunno:
Every head coach at every football program in the country probably believes this too....folks on here are in attack mode.

Everyone believed Kiffin when he spoke of having "The Best Staff in America" and recruiting way better athletes here was a top priority....and he had a losing record as a head coach. CBJ states the same and has a proven record as a head coach and way less talent and the #2 class in the country...yet we need to fire him now
