ESPN.com - NBA - Report: White refs call more fouls on black players

Maybe this explains his attitude towards Tim Duncan.:crazy:


Three things to take way from this...

1. What goes through a person's mind to even come up with a study like this?
2. Who actually gave this study the greenlight and approved it?
3. This story was reported in the New York Times. How much more credibility do they have left to lose? :ermm:

It was the whole talk of tonites pregame show on TNT...Sir Charles called those that came up with the study a bunch of jackasses..lol

that was the stupidest things i've ever seen. i'm sure black players do commit more fouls considering they play more. i swear espn is always trying to stir up crap

In other news, A study has found that NFL qb's tend to throw more TD passes to black WR's than white WR's.

Has anyone thought the league is probably 3/4% black? Wouldn't that cause more fouls on black players?!?! The media is making a mountain out of a mole hill as usual. But they did talk to professors.... :crazy:

All these guys did was look at boxscores, but boxscores don't tell you which referee called a foul on who.

Why did the NYT even print this is my question.

like it or not it is news. as a newspaper, it is their duty to report it. it doesn't make them any less credible, as far as i can tell they aren't reporting it as absolute truth, only reporting on the study itself.

i'm not trying to be mean, only questioning certain statements he makes. the only times i get snippy are when he uses that crazy smiley to try to (as far as I can tell) come off as condescending. i should say i haven't seen him do it as much lately.

Charles Barkley's comments were good. He called whoever did the study a jackass and common sense would dictate that since the large majority of NBA players are black, that there would be more fouls called on black players

probably called more fouls on black people because there is alot more of them playin in the NBA then white people.
