I noticed in Pearl's postgame presser that he has realized that if he has any prayer of getting this team back on track, accountability is the way to go. If he really wants to send this team a message, the rotation should be cut to about 6 or 7. Here's my opinion on the list of players who shouldn't be in it. Feel free to offer your opinion.

Stephen Pearl: Nothing else needs to be said here.

Brian Williams: Williams is a microcosm of this team. He went from playing good basketball to playing like a complete pansy while providing zero senior leadership. He deserves to be sitting the bench.

Melvin Goins: I'm really pulling for Melvin, but the fact is 1 assist in 32 minutes doesn't cut it. Couple that with the fact that he shot 25% from the floor and allowed Goudelock to absolutely wipe the floor with him should put him on the bench for next game. Trae Golden is perfectly capable doing what Goins is doing right now, which is basically nothing. Golden should play simply for experience.

Kenny Hall: Just not progressing the way we need him to. If I'm Pearl, it's Maymon and Fields at the 5.

Starting Lineup for Memphis: 1) Golden 2) Hopson 3) Bone--(clearly outperformed Tatum against Charleston) 4) Harris 5) Fields. Maymon and Tatum as subs. Desperate times call for desperate measures, folks. Some players need a firm kick in the ass, and gluing them to the bench for a rivalry game should do the trick. With that said, I'd like to wish all of VN a Happy New Year. Hopefully, the New Year will bring in a huge change from the garbage we're currently seeing on the basketball court right now back to where we were a couple weeks ago. Go Vols!

I don't know who to put in the rotation, but one thing is CERTAIN there are too many in the present system. There doesn't seem to be any chemistry to this team. Its starting to look like panic has set in.

Heck Hubert deserves a shot at shooting guard if you ask me. In his very few minutes he has knocked down some 3 balls. I am sure his defense should be weak and we already stink at perimeter defense anyhow but if he can knock down shots.

Bench Hearl, Williams, and McBee for good. Play Fields, Tatum, Hopson, Goins, and Tobias with Golden, McRae, and Kenny Hall providing most of the support off the bench.

Early on, they looked unbeatable. Now they look like winning an SEC game would be a pipe dream. What changed? Needs fixing soon.

Pearl said he will play the players that play defense so that means his son will be in the rotation. We have problems scoring, so not sure defense is our only problem.

Pearl is going to play his son the rest of the year, get used to it. No matter what happens Steven Pearl will get minutes. This is Bruce's way of making it up to him during his senior year since he may not be back next year and he feels bad it happened his son's senior year. There is 0% chance he benches him on top of all that.

Steven Pearl does play hard but he's a huge liability on offense. His plus/minus cannot be good.

1) Summit
2) Goins
3) McBee
4) Pearl
5) Bone

I think without a doubt it's a rivalry to our players. It's not as much of a rivalry to our fans since Cal left, but I definitely think it still qualifies as a rivalry.
