I was hard on Maymon earlier this week because of his attitude on the bench. It looks like he joined the team this week. Maymon, it was great to see you encourage your teammates and be a part of what is going on.

Maymon should gets some major PT next year. We really don't have many big men coming back and none being recruited as far as I know.

Is Maymon really a big? I don't like the thought of that situation next year.

He's also a threat to take the ball, draw a foul, and miss his FTs.

He is a threat to take some wild, not within the offense, shot that has very little chance of going in. He is a threat to turn the ball over. He is a threat to miss all his free throws. He is a threat to be out of position on defense.

With the exception of the text in bold, you basically described Goins. :whistling:

Maymon will be a better back-up than Pearl is this year because he is a more talented player. We will really need him next year unless someone knows of some post that will be coming in this recruiting class.

Maymon is a rebounder and good at that for his height. He's not really a big but plays under the basket because he couldn't hit the broad side of a barn door past 5 feet.

His FT shooting is horrible. When you're worse at the line than both Williams and Steve Pearl you're pretty bad. He can be strictly a role player. That role will restricted to rebounding.

If he takes shots I'm gonna just close my eyes and pray. He can get on the boards but heaven forbid when he gets fouled in the act of shooting. I'd rather have a CHAC League kid at the line. :eek:lol:

Hahaha. As a high school basketball coach I find that statement very humorous. If talent automatically equaled production it would be great.

Maymon is not bad but he needs to be coached up a little. He will be ready next year.
