Couple things:

1. It is Haslam, as in Jim. Not Haslem, as in Udonis.

2. Using Hyams as your source tells me all I need to know about you as a fan.

3. Cheek and Compliance were the biggest obstacles. Butch Davis was very much in play, but was shot down because of objections out of Chancellor and Compliance offices.

Your first problem is you listen to Hyams and believe anything he says. Big $$$ boosters were NOT behind this hire. Hart bucked them and went out on his own because he's arrogant and thinks he's the smartest guy in the room (kinda like Dooley). Fact.

It's not Jones's fault, anymore than it was Dooley's fault that he is our HC. Like Dooley, he has a chance to prove that he belongs here, and I'll give him that chance.

Yeah, I could have told you guys long ago that the Haslams love to hire employees on the cheap. I don't know how involved they were, but this does fit their style. I always laughed when people on here thought the Haslams were going to pay for Gruden. If that deal was going to happen, it was going to be other boosters pulling it off. Not the Haslam style.
