I think Kiffin needs to recruit WRs in the mold of Jeron Stokes for his new O. It would be better for his type offense to work in the SEC.

WRs seem to be a big part of his recruiting. Just check out some of the kids he recruited to play at USC. I wouldn't be surprised at all if we get big, very athletic receivers starting next year at UT.

Don't know how much that type of receiver would work down here. I think the fast playmakers around 6'0 or 6'1 would work just as well if not better down here. The big guys will be open to a lot of big hits down here.

Depending upon how you use them, that may be true. But Kiffin also liked quick in routes for short passes, and he favors a strong running game to open up the deep ball.

I think that regardless of the fact that SEC defenses are obviously much better, if you can recruit the tall athletic guys (who I would be willing to bet would be some of the faster ones too), you can make it work if you run it properly.

Or maybe you have a balance between tall and athletic and shorter and faster.

Either way, talking about future WR recruits and how fantastic they may be seems like something that has been missing from UT for a while. Maybe that's just my perception though.

Mike Williams, Dwayne Jarrett, Patrick Turner, and Vidal Hazelton are the prototype WR for his offense.

This is what I observed from watching USC. They are more explosive with R.Johnson and D.Williams on the edge than in any other years. The big receivers would have to deal with a lot of physical and fast defenses down here that may give them trouble.

Those big WR's always seemed to work for them when playing against SEC teams before. I know they wouldn't do that every week down here but not only did they beat those SEC teams, they blew them out.

Freaks. Period. Those guys are better than Mike Williams,Dwayne Jarrett, and Patrick Turner. Also would like to point out Vidal Hazelton has the best athletic ability I seen from the Big receivers f®om USC.

?
Not so sure. Good, but how do you definitvely say better? Alot of gray area.

The big guys with soft hands are very key in the red zone i.e. in the endzone when things get tight.

If those two guys played in the Pac-10 they may have reach 1500 yards each. Aj green was unstoppable in a game earlier this year when they played Zona St. They are better at this stage easily.

Never said they wouldn't work I just think the medium size guys will work better down here. The big guys have their advantages but they do have their disadvantages. If the big receiver doesn't know how to use their size to their advantage they will have big problems down here. I think Dwayne Jarrett and the crew would have had problems against the top tier defensive crews of the sec.
