I'm proud of our lads, and our coaches.
No, not for the game last night, at least not for the outcome. They didn't play their best. They didn't coach their best. They know that.
I'm proud of them because they are Tennessee Volunteers. They won't quit. They won't give up. Facing hardship, facing a game that utterly did not go the way they wanted or expected it to, they will bow their heads for just a minute, then get to work figuring out how to be even better.
I'm proud of them because they won't lose faith. In themselves or those around them.
I'm proud of them for how they represent us and our university.
My heart is with Hendon and his family as they figure it out.
And I'm proud of all of them.
