In light of Kevin Steele's retirement, Jeremy Pruitt's name has been floated in the media as a possible replacement. Standing in his way are the NCAA sanctions given to him for paying players. He has a six year show cause penalty. In addition to that, once he gains employment, he must serve a one year suspension. I am certainly glad Beldar is gone and I'm glad we won't have to face his defense for the near future. I just hate to see anyone deprived of making a living. I'm just curious on what the vibe in VolNation is in regards to our former HC.

He isn't deprived of making a living. Would you say a lawyer who was found guilty of serious professional misconduct and disbarred was being deprived of making a living, or a doctor who lost their medical license for doing something?

I think 6 years may be a bit steep considering everything, but that's neither here nor there.

I haven't seen anything from JP recently disputing what happened or the facts of the case

Honestly, it's over and basically in the rear view mirror for us now

And he basically admitted he cheated without saying the actual words. I appreciate the fact he told the NCAA TN shouldn’t be punished for the mistakes (cheating) that occurred.
