So, JP is likely going finish out his season as DC at Bama and simultaneously begin serving as HC at UT. So, given the early signing period occurs when he's wearing two hats, how will this affect his recruiting efforts for players already committed to Bama? Would he have a contractual clause addressing this in his current contract or is it more likely a gray area? Could/should he attempt to flip current early Bama commits? This seemingly would create a huge cluster**** with his current employer even if it were technically legal.

Just re recruit the players that are currently on Tennessee's recruiting list.
Leave Alabama's recruits alone. We did not like it when Kiffin tried to take our recruits to Southern Cal.
That shows no class or no character.....

Yeah, I think you've got an excellent point. One cannot serve two masters.

Might result in another public ass-chewing from Saban, but Pruitt can smirk all the way to the bank with the pay raise he's about to receive.

I agree that JP and PF should be camping in Cade Mays' driveway this weekend, but what if a Bama recruit was committed based upon his relationship with JP?

IDK, I think I lean towards taking a formal stance of hands off current solid Bama commits.

If I was Pruitt I would tell the current commits that I am taking the head coaching job at UT and if you want to be coached by me you have a spot and that is all the recruiting he should do for current UA commits. Now once he gets his staff in place I hope he is telling them that if the player hasn't signed paperwork they are fair game and we need to get the best players possible and if that means its a UGA/FSU/UA commit so be it. We are in the big leagues and have to win these battles to become relevant in the SEC.

That was the day before signing day. This is 2 weeks and 3 months before the signing days. The recruits are fair game

Wait.....so we should ignore recruits we could possibly get to flip because we hired Pruitt away from the team that he originally recruited them to?

Sorry, but if the best recruit told Pruitt I’m going with you Tennessee, don’t believe his response will be “no, I originally recruited you to Bama so you should stay there.”

All of this hypothetically speaking.

That's crazy talk. The EE recruits were told not to show up and go to class. Thatis different scenario. That is where the anger came from. Players are still on the market right now and it is his job to sell them on playing at UT.
