This is a bit surprising. Maybe a courtesy visit? :)

Guess a player's loyalty is only as deep as the coach who is coaching them. Traditions are overrated it would seem.

yeah paulus was the same way.. he was a really good quarterback i believe in the rivals top 100 and he was also a 5* basketball recruit but he ended up just playing basketball

Isn't Pryor from Pennsylvania or somewhere up North? I doubt he really cares about UT tradition. In fact, he's probably more familiar with NFL traditions that college. This guy wants to be a professional football player.

He is from Jeannette, PA. I agree that he wants to be a NFL star, but I think he could pull a Charlie Ward if he wanted to. He's that gifted.

Paulus was overrated in football. All he wanted to do was roll out and scramble. It was a joke that he started over Crompton in the AAA game.

How crazy would it be if Cut actually landed him. It seems similar to drawing Eli to play at Old Miss. I don't think it would necessarily be a bad move for Pryor to go to Duke. Sure they won't be winning any championships, but I'm sure he will get pub wherever he goes, and even moderate success at Duke will make news. Plus, I'm sure Cut could lure some receivers with such a weapon in place.

It really would be nothing like Eli, Eli had family connections with Ole Miss.

I tried to tell people how good of shape we were in with him and nobody listeded to me. If Cut was still at UT Pryor would have commited to UT. Book it. I think he ends up at Michigan now. In the end he wont be able to go to Duke.

It would be a terrible move. No receivers would come. Any decent NC receiver is either going out of state, getting snatched up by Butch Davis, or as a last resort going to NC State. Pryor going to Duke wouldn't get him any damn press. His games wouldn't even be on TV. It be the stupidest career decision of all time. Pryor likes Cut because of his record with QBs, but when he gets to campus and sees what he'd be getting into, he will drop them like a bad habit.

I'm sure Pryor was in a real hurry to play behind a five star QB and 2 four star QBs. He'll got to Ohio State and be Troy Smith times ten. If he goes to Michigan he'll be Pat White times ten. We never had a great chance with him.

This would be nothing more than a courtesy visit if he follows suit. Very similar to Marvin Austin's little getaway in Knoxville last November.
