PT: Who Should Be Getting More Minutes, Who Should Be Getting Less?

Kenny Hall should get more PT. Mcbee shouldn't be on the floor and Williams should get less. Woolridge should probably get less as well as he's been getting a good amount of minutes here recently. Woolridge is a big, athletic body so I do think he should see the floor. I also love yelling "Swiperboy" when he comes in.

Obviously, we need Williams in for his size. But good grief, have we ever had a big man blow more layups and point blank shots?

Aside from his big body, Brian Williams is the most pathetic use for a scholarship that I have seen.

Brian Williams is a joke...i thought he might improve some but he has not. His Lay ups are almost funny...no touch around the rim and terrible hands...I'm really disappointed in him...he showed some flashes last year..

I think Brian Williams needs to go back to playing all the video games. I would like to see Kenny Hall playing alot more, but I guess there is a reason he is not.

Who are you guys kidding? Brain Williams is our best trash talker on the floor. We need him in there to scare other teams. :p

McBee actually isn't that bad of a player guys. He can make shots even though he has struggled. He's definitely a vulnerability on defense though.

Our PG situation is killing us really. Maze looks to score too much while Goins seems to have a low IQ in decision making. Granted, Goins made some plays yesterday against Memphis.

I think Maze is the better PG but is far too inconsistent. Goins scares the heck out of me & can't shoot free throws.

Tatum has basically disappeared on offense.

Hopson has disappointed me really bad. If he can't hit the 3 then his game suffers badly. He can't shoot free throws either. He can't play defense except for blocking a shot every once in a while. He's just been a big disappointment thus far.

Tyler Smith has probably been an even bigger disappointment. He acts like he isn't interested in playing. He's not aggressive at all. He HAS to have a big year for us to succeed. He is very afraid to look at the 3 ball. Last year he didn't play this way. What's up with that? Pearl? Tyler himself? Who knows?

Chism has played fairly well thus far but can do better. He can dominate on the inside if he wanted to. At least against Memphis he didn't take a 3 ball.

Prince has picked up his game over the past 2-3 games. We need him to step up as well.

As far as playing time goes I think Tatum needs more minutes over Hopson at this point even though Tatum has disappeared lately. Hopson's awareness & effort sometimes is very lacking. At least Tatum gives his all while in there.

I do believe Kenny Hall should get a little more time over Williams. Hall isn't a C but is at least more than a big body in there. Williams has missed more layups & point blank shots than I can remember. His awareness on the floor is about as poor as anybody.

We put Williams at the top of the key against a defensive press in front court & pass him the ball. This makes me cringe when he even catches it. He's just simply a big body out there but Hall needs more time.

We could be in for a long season. I don't see us finishing above Kentucky or Florida in the SEC East. Heck, we may finish lower than 3rd.

Why is that Pearly can react to defensive changes? Memphis went zone against us & things went totally haywire. He didn't know what to do. That's coaching right there. It's not to blame the players.

Yeah, the players need to make the shots/plays but we didn't do anything different to adjust to the zone. We waited til the shot clock was running down & expect someone to pull one of their arss! I just don't understand his coaching sometimes.

If we aren't in a run & gun game then we look to be in trouble. Execution on offense is horrible in a half court game. I blame most of this on coaching because we don't seem to try anything different in response to changes.

i would also like to see more kenny hall and less williams, mcbee, and goins they are awful,i get nervous when any of the three get the ball to shoot or even handle it.and when jp goes to line i start cussing.it was the best defense that tennessee has played at memphis and they are pretty good.but we got kansas looming, and then kentucky and the sec scedual who will guard chalmers and aldrich, and then against ky who will guard wall, patterson, cousins, and bledsoe.

we will finish atleast 2nd in east no way flordia finishes above us.we could have a good season if a few players would loose minuets.and we play as well as we have at the best times like the last 30 minuets of memphis and the first 39;30 against purdue.

Due to today's developments it looks like more PT for Hall, Woolridge, and McBee. I'm not sure who is our backup PG now.

McBee will see more minutes because of today's episode, I suspect. To answer the OP, I want to see Kenny Hall getting 20-25 minutes a game. He can more than hold his own

Well this gives some guys an oppurtunity to step up and solidify their role on this team for this year and the next couple of years.

In the minutes Hall has played, he has more than earned a spot if you ask me. In 8 minutes per game(hardly enough time to break a sweat), he averages 3 points and 2 rebounds. Not bad at all considering he plays 1/5 of the game.

Well, with these arrests, we may be down to an eight man rotation. Every one on scholarship and McBee will get plenty of minutes if these players are suspended. Some of you will get what you've been asking for now.

I've got absolutely no problem with Williams getting the boot if it happens. Tyler is supposed to be a leader of this team and showed flashes of it last night, but this incident is just baffling to me that he would get involved in it. If Tatum goes I will be disappointed because he made the most of every minute of playing time he was given. If we still have Chism to work in the paint, and all these blue collar guys surrounding him then we SHOULD be fine. For us to be ok though, McBee has the make the most of his ability to knock down shots, the only question left is when will he start hitting them. Hall could progress into a monster down low. Maze is our best PG anyways. If those 4 are kicked off then it won't be the end of the world. These boys will just have to work on their conditioning a lot more because all of their minutes will be increased, if anything comes of this incident.
