I heard Slive on the radio this morning discussing his meeting with CLK. He said the message was sent and received from him to CLK. Yesterday I saw where some various forms of punishment had all ready been doled out to various programs whose names where not mentioned. If that is in fact the case I wonder what form of punishment we have incurred to this point.

I didn't hear the one this morning, but Slive was on the zone yesterday afternoon and he basically said "in the past we have given out these punishments."

The way I took it he was saying in years past they have done this, but he didn't make it sound like he necessarily did this year.

Isn't Slive the SEC president? The reason I ask is that the secondary violations are product of the NCAA, so what would the SEC have to do with punishment by the NCAA?

Slive can certainly punish athletic depts. from any SEC school. He mentioned limiting phone calls, road travel, calling or recruiting certain athletes. My impression was that these were current deals. I have never heard of any school being punished by him, but apparently it has happened. Since it is not made public Slive answered one question by saying no schools were in trouble, but he would tell us if they were. So it makes you wonder.
