Pure speculation, if we had USA's Matheny?

I hated to see it, University of South Alabama's QB, Matheny, really had a great game against us. Coming down toward game's end, was speculating about were he our QB, how much better our team would be this year? Anybody else have that thought?

That guy could play and had some good wheels. He wasnt the least bit scared to run the ball that's what we need

He runs it better, but not sure he throws it better than Worley. That throwing motion is funky. His back up had all arm talent.

He's not, waste of time speculating, need to move on and deal with what we have and ways to make them better. At the same time we need to work, not speculate, in bringing in more talent. This is where 100% of our focus should be!

USA offense is similar to what Butch wants to run. He just don't have the right personnel to run it (QB), if we had Metheny we would be better, he is much better than Worley!

He is not that good - our defense made him look good.

I want that kid from ONtario. He looked like Cam newton when Cam was at Florida. All the arm and wheels you could ask for with the need to practice his accuracy a bit.

That's what I was saying. Kid needs to be coached up, but he had a hell of an arm.

It's funny this thread was started because I was thinking of starting one asking why every team we've played thus far, with maybe ap's being the exception, has better qb's than us. Some of the teams have multiple qb's better than ours. My only hope is that after redshirting, Dobbs becomes the guy. I don't think furgesson has the wheels to be successful in this offense

We'd be saying "Why are we stuck with this loser?...that guy on their side...Worley...why didn't we recruit him?...he was Gatorade player of the year!" :loco:
