I used to put $ on college football, but I quit because I couldn't sleep at night thinking about it. Luckily it was 1998 and 1999 when I did it. But the guy that got me involved lost everything he had doing it. His problem was that he would try to bet on 8 or 10 teams per weekend; plus he would always bet on his team, Bama. I only bet on UT four times in two years and won big on all four. Never bet on more than three teams per weekend. They make a few mistakes, but not many. The perfect no. is one. If you bet on one team and lose, raise your bet the next weekend. No one will just keep losing, unless very sorry at picking winners.

i'm too emotionally invested, to become financially invested too....though if i were to bet, i'd never bet on TN covering the spread as a favorite.....

I don't ever bet on UT anymore. They don't cover the spread but I can't bet against them either. Funny because the most money I ever won was on UT vs. bammer in '95. I actually paid the next semester's tuition w/ that money and watched our bookies go out of business.

I really try not to bet on any teams where I have a desire for one team to win. Makes it easier to see it from an objective view.
