There are several reasons.

Here are a few possibilities I think are likely:

  • Q is a team of people. I think most of the coded messages are for other members of the Q team and not for people following Q.
  • Artificial intelligence (sniffer programs) are being used to continually absorb and analyze data for evaluation. Using coded messages avoids AI
  • Making classified information known to the public without breaking the law
  • Plausible deniability.

There may be other reasons, but these are a few that immediately come to mind.

  • Why drop it where everybody can see it? Why not drop it in a secret place?
  • Valid, but I still have the same two questions from above.
  • Even if it's coded, it's still classified and he's putting it where everyone knows where it is, so he's still in trouble.

I put it to you that talking in code allows others to dream up and ascribe meaning without Q having to make specific statements that he has to walk back (again).

Let me ask the question differently, why would he need to put a coded message in a place where you and I can see it and we know where it is? I get that he can signal to other insiders to join him who want to be anonymous, but how does he know they will decipher the code? Wouldn't they need a key, insinuating they have other contact?

8chan has been used for other intelligence dumps before, from leakers to newspapers.
8 Chan is open source, I would say that’s why it’s used.
So with it being open source anyone can track what q says, Q has warned entities several times of knowledge of their crimes via 8chan.

Could it also be the same reason that fortune teller speak in vague generalities so that anyone can read what they're saying in such a way to fit what they want to believe?

8chan has no reputation to protect and they like traffic because it = $. Q and 8chan are working together to put ******** time stamps on his posts. Then you go thru phase 2 of the $ scheme and watch Serial Brain (traffic = $) and buy his gold Trump coins, because Trump is our lord and savior according to the theory, and you can't resist a good trinket. That's likely the real conspiracy here.
