That supports the theory that the QBs who've been winning at Bama have a large amount of their success based on the fact that they're playing on teams that are more talented and better coached that all of their opponents.

I know nothing about Toledo's depth chart, but I assume Ely took a look and determined that he'd have a great chance to start next year.

I doubt many of us on here ever saw Namath play.
Most action I ever saw from his was the attempted rape of an ESPN sideline reporter
Actually, I did see Namath play - also Bart Starr and Harry Gilmer (who wasn't a QB in college, but in the Notre Dame Box they ran offensively back then he was the passing member of the backfield)
