That is expected. He deserves to be a head coach. He got shafted at ole miss after 1 bad season. How many bowls did they go to before he went there. Enjoy the ride guys.

Funny that all the "How long until Crompton replaces Ainge" and "Ainge looked horrible in his first scrimmage! Oh no!" threads have gone away . . .

True bout all the Crompton replaces Ainge threads. Let's hope he plays good this wkend. Cut did get shafted, but I'd like for him to stick around for a while.

I dont think anyone expected Ainge to come out of the gate like this, what scares me is the int at the end of the airforce game. Bad decision with the game hanging in the balance.

He still made me nervous after the Cal game, then last wk i was gettin some confidence before that pick. he's doing good, leading the nation in qb rating. he still has a way to go before i'm a believer in him. i hope he does well though. it'll take a fl,ga,bama, lsu game for me to start believing he's the man

As the Swamp Rat would say, "I'd rather be lucky than good." Ainge may be just that-lucky. Many of his throws could have gone the other way had the defender been just a fraction of a second faster, and if that had happened, we might be having the u-hauls backed up to Fulmers house by now. Still, overall he has been consistently lucky, so he could be the real deal. If he remains lucky in the FL game we will know. but for me, my rear end still tightens up everytime I see him let a pass go. I look forward to the day when I can relax on the couch like the Shoney's chick, sniff my own arm pit and then say to the person next to me, "Yo dude, when Ainge lets one fly, pull my finger."

Some people are just much better as coordinators...Chavis and Cut are two of them, IMO.

And, Ainge hasn't faced a good pass rush this year...Saturday will be much different and make for a longer day. He definitely needs to practice his release and receiver checks this week.

True, but i'm just glad to see him not gettin picked every other pass he throws. i'd still like to see him go a game w/out a pick

Very few QB's have great games every game. I'll be happy if Ainge does enough to beat UF. I expect him to be under more pressure than the last two games combined. So we'll see what he's really learned about protecting the ball. I for one, think he's got the idea now.

One reason he was almost too late on the throws (this was stated by the coaches) was because Meach went two yards too deep on both of those out routes against Cal. Even though he scored two TD's, he lost points on his grade because of it.

I remember reading somewhere (yes, excellent credibility here :D) that Cutcliffe would be hard pressed to leave Tennessee for another head coaching job.
