This has to be the worst season for a Tennessee quarterback that I can remember. At least Casey did not throw and bunch of interceptions and was a leaser. (I am not taking up for him though.) I know that we have a freshman waiting in the wings, but it there any shot of maybe bringing in a Junior College guy.

There is no leadership coming from that position. People will tell you that Rick is a leader, but a true leader would have not said he was thinking about transfering then getting onto fans who think maybe he should of. Rick is a leader who does not lead by example. He tries to calm players down, but I do not think he does too good of a job. A leader does not accept bad play from an entire offense.

Also, just wanted to say goodbye to Pat Washington. You have been a coach for too long and you have finally been exposed. Hopefully, when you hit the unemployment line, you and Randy can sit next to each other.

It really dosn't matter who the qb is if we don't have a decent qb coach.

Which is what Cutcliffe would bring to the table if we go that route.

I actually thought Casey Clausen was a pretty good QB. He may have a size 19 shoe and walk like Donald, but he was a decent QB.

Which is why he was so highly recruited during the NFL draft.

Exactly! Which is why CPF gets another year to see if he can turn it around.

I never cared for Casey; he always had 'happy feet', he couldn't read the defense if they held it up on a teleprompter. I was so disappointed when I learned we were stuck with his kid brother for another year of Clausen ball and was very relieved to hear the (hopefully) last of them was probably going to Notre Dame. It seems unthinkable we could recruit and mentor a player like Peyton and follow that up with a miserable era of Clausen + 1.

Thankfully we won't have to worry about that, but it was a close one.

You'd figure with sooooo much love for Randy Sanders that Casey Clausen would have been here instead of MSU. Perhaps there isn't the love and respect we thought? Especially since rumors of Jimmy going somewhere else before Sanders quit.

And you have no clue.

You want happy feet look no farther than one Peyton Manning!

You want a QB who couldn't read defenses look no farther than one Heath Shuler

How about you remove your head from that body part, get a clue and learn something more than how to play football on a computer!

Those remarks are so far from the truth they are funny and its people like you that are making this board an unpleasant place to come to.

And you are SO right 67. Archie Griffin won 2 Heisman trophies at OSU and was a total failure in the Pros. We need good college players at UT not good pro players.

The only real problems with Casey are, he had no foot speed whatsoever, very slow, and his arm wasnt the strongest, he couldnt really throw the distance manning could or tee martin, other then that he was fine.
