I know it is all up in the air as to who we might get this year or not,but what if we can't get Scroggins or Brunetti signed, will Rettig sign ? will the staff have to wait till next year to get a quaterback ? or does the staff want to wait till next year to pull in a better
prospect at quaterback ? I don't know,just thought I'd ask

Regardles of who we sign this year, we have to get a QB. No way we can go 3 years in a row without signing a QB.
Even if we don't get our first 5 or so choices, we will sign somebody, IMO.

Did you not get the memo? Were going to a single-wing offense with Brown,Berry, and Jones in the backfield.

I know, but it is a big question,a ton of ifs and buts ,and will he sign,i'm thinking what if they don't sign, and I read in another post that Sabo was on Scotch and I am drinking uh mmm well untaxed liquor :) so i thought i'd ask Rasputin Vol,who do you think will sign with the mighty Vols ?

Funny thing is I agree with both, the QB situation and the untaxed liquor. I'm not Rasputin but I think we will know by the end of next weekend who our QB will be. Hopefully.

I still hope CLK offers to Nick Lamaison....I think he could be a real sleeper who could become a high caliber SEC quarterback that fits the system CLK and co. have in mind on offense...having went out on a limb like that based solely on my gut feeling and a LIMITED amount of video (along with some high praise and atta boys from folks familiar with Mt SAC where he played), 3,500 yds and 35 TD's are great umbers at any level of football above high school. However the wild card in the QB situation could very well be Mike Rozier and before y'all laugh too loud or long, he has the most upside as a walkon and the most maturity of all the options we all seem to be aware of...and by upside I mean the X factor of being out of football so long but still having the leadership skills and athleticism to compliment his maturity. Good coaching could very well make this kid an excellent QB and even better leader..but JMO. Lefties always intrigue football purists anyway;)

It's very simple. This is not a marriage. You get the best guy you can get and no matter how good or bad he is, you will try to recruit over the top of him the following year.

Crompton has gone through a lot since he has been @ Tennessee. I hope he has a great senior year!

Hope so too even though Stephens may be a better choice. To paraphrase a recent Dewey Warren quote, "...know your limitations and what you can do to help your team win". No more, no less.
