Question about Forrest Gump

I'm watching Forrest Gump and I just saw the scene where he is playing for Bama and runs the entire field on the kick off. Is that supposed to be Tennessee he's playing? I just noticed the team he's playing is like an orange/yellow color but it never says. I can't find it on Google anywhere.

Sorry. I usually turn away during that scene, because I can't stand to see Bama win a game, even if it's fictional, like most of their championships.

If you freeze the above clip just right, you can tell that the opposite team has plain white helmets and yellow pants with black stripes.

If they were trying to make that look like Tennessee, they did a piss poor job.

I took a good look at the scene a couple weeks ago, and it seems to me that they got the rights to use Bama logos, but the other team was just generic. Why would they go through the trouble of getting all the Bama stuff correct down to the T, and not for the opposing team?

I think the other team is just the yellowish & white team.

GT did wear similar pants and white helmets around that time and I don't think the Vols even wore orange pants until the 70's.

That is odd, the one Im referring to has notes/marks/commentary.

Roth has Tennessee/Georgia Tech in a thought circle with similarities and a check by Tennessee with rival in captions.

Im guessing I was looking at a treatment?
