any you guys ever sat under the overhang at the Charlotte race? gonna be sitting in about row 48 in the chrystler section, which looks to be under the luxury boxes. just wondering how the view is going to be from up there.

Should be good seats, overhang is a good thing.

I can't remember the name of the section I sat in last time I went but we were above pit road entrance. It was directly across from the infield care center and we were under that over hang as well. The view is great there as it is pretty much everywhere at that track as long as you're not too close to the track. If you're under the over hang than you're high enough to have good seats.

They also added that new jumbo tron which would have been directly across from where our seats were. It's larger than the one in Cowboys stadium so you should have a good view of it.

It's a great race that comes down to gas mileage a lot of times. I was there when Casey Mears won a few years ago on fuel. Also, whoever is dominating early might not be very good when the sun goes down.

thanks for the info. last time i sat down in about row 10 in front of the pit entrance and couldnt see hardly anything. my worry, tho, about sitting under the overhang, is the posts. im afraid of being stuck behind one. how big of a problem are they?

I don't think it will be a problem. I honestly can't remember how they're constructed.
