I have a question regarding parents of NCAA Athletes, football mainly.

I know Dillon Lee that plays linebacker for Alabama and Dallas Lee who just completed his senior season at Georgia. Their parents traveled to home and away games and even pulled a little bit of the first half of Bama vs Va Tech and then Clemson Vs Georgia in the same day. I don't really get to talk to either of them and didn't want to sound too nosy.

Nonetheless, as many games as they've attended over the years, home and away for both their sons perspective schools, how does the NCAA regulate this. Are all of these trips and tickets paid for because even if you were well off, it seems like it would be a financial strain eventually.

If anyone knows, i'd like to know how all of this works, just curious.

I know nothing about the Lees' situation, so I can't comment on that.

But families can get tickets from the school for pretty much any game, home or away.

How about like lodging and traveling and all that, a little more insight if you could.

My sister was a scholarship athlete at UGA and the university can not pay for any part of family travel, hotel, or anything else. They can provide tickets and that's about it.

My son plays football for Alabama. They pay for our tickets, hotel, transportation, food and give us $500 spending money per game. That's nothing compared to what my son makes/gets.
