Question about redshirts?

During CJH's presser today,I thought I heard someone ask about Staley and how he was progressing. CJH said something to the effect about them wanting to redhsirt him and hes got his (4) games in. Heupel said hes good to go for OSU. Do these playoff games not count against redshirts? Im assuming we could see alot more of # 14 Sat. and going forward.

The NCAA changed the rules a few years back, so that now nothing in the post-season counts against a red-shirt. Up to four games in the regular season, and anything goes in the post.

For example: Nico started the bowl Game which was his 5 game played in but retained his redshirt.

This presents a much larger advantage to CFP participants than just practicing for a bowl game. CFP participants get extended weeks of practice plus the extra game time. Not many fans of other teams have realized this quite yet. I hope Pate holds his damn tongue once he realizes it…
