We’re out of it completely. Georgia is guaranteed and whoever wins Texas/A&M goes to the title game. Tennessee has no shot

Completely out of it once Florida beat Ole Miss and Texas beat Kentucky last weekend.

It is for the sake of the playoff, assuming a victory Saturday, but it’s pretty embarassing not to have even played in the SECCG since 2007.

Now with the playoffs here, many teams don't want any part of the SECCG. It would be n extra loss for the loser which no one would want.
All the other teams who don't make the playoffs or SECCG but are still bowl eligible would go to what would be seen as a NIT Bowl

When did the title game ever benefit the losing team? It’s always been about helping the winner.
