Were either of these two expected to see the field this year? Both are freshmen so I imagine they weren't expected to contribute much apart from mop up duty and added depth.

Where are you seeing that they are injured? Have I missed it?

Nevermind

I think Wethersby would have had a better chance making the field than Bishop.
If we were going to be that deep into the bench for those guys to play though, we are having MUCH bigger problems !!!

Only fear I have now with these two is them sitting out a year and being idle...idle minds start to wander and wonder "is it better over there on the other side of the fence?"...both are very talented and seem to have a high ceiling according to all reports.

Don’t think either of them were in the running for much playing time. DL rotation is 3 deep and RBs have plenty of bodies.

Both had been impressive at practice to date. Weathersby was pushing for some rotation reps. Bishop probably down the list at RB

Not too bad for my man Bishop. Not Happy I bet but I think he is closer in RB type to our two guys with a chance to move on after this year. One could return I THINK. He will fit in nicely with Sampson, Seldon and Keith. I think he is one of those guys that always gets the most out of his carries and always more than you think. Not the hammer and not the blazer but we have that covered. He will have to speed up his return to formation instead of doing the Jim Brown and Emmett Smith drag back to the huddle acts.

Would have been great for Weatherby to get garbage snaps this season because we potentially lose a lot of big uglies on defense. But there’s always a silver lining in redshirting talent. And with a medical designation it opens up future options.

Saw it on msnbc this morning...one is a hip and the other one is ankle problems.

I saw and article on 247Sports that confirmed this. Said Weathersby has the hip injury and will miss the season and Bishops is the ankle and could be back later in season. Both should redshirt. You just beat me to it Volunteer Boy, ha.
