GPA does matter. It shows the kid is intelligent and has pride and work ethic outside of basketball. He doesn't have to make great grades. He could just skate by like most Uber-stars. Think any of this might translate to the basketball court? I wonder what Bobby Maze's GPA was before being run out of Oklahoma.

You are right. And the Maze/Banks analogy shows how far Vols have to go in recruiting the "right" players.

I live in Oklahoma so I have watched him play a couple of times and the reason he is so highly rated is because he is good. This man is even better to watch in person than on video. He just takes over the game and dominates.

I really think this young man has a very bright future ahead of him. It will be interesting to watch him play with his brother. Cal really has a winner with Xavier. IMO.
