Question re: Transfer Portal...

If a very good player's team misses the playoffs, can that player transfer to a team that has made the playoffs and play in that same season?
I've looked around the internet but cannot find a hard and fast answer.

There's a couple of "transfer windows" so no, teams can't pick someone up and activate them for the playoffs like the pros.

I would think (hope) that the player would be have had to be enrolled in fall semester classes to participate in the post season.

College football is quickly moving to a semi-pro league, however. It may not be much longer until college football players are no longer required to be students.
