From the looks of it John Brown, Dave Clark, Dixon, and Loften aren't likely to make it in. Since they won't make it essentially we get those scholarships back, correct? Could we grab four eligible JUCOs, if there are any left, to help build depth for this season?

essentially yes...but we also signed darr and the DT from georgia after nsd.... subtract 25 from how ever many kids report for fall...that will be the number we can backcount and add to the 11' class...

just read the original post again...do you mean bring in jucos for the '10 season? If that is the case than I highly doubt any kids worth taking do not have football plans for the fall....

Has this been confirmed? Sure needed Brown and probablly the others too.

Brown is on campus trying to turn water into wine, he needs a something just short of a miracle.

Loften is waiting on his test to be cleared.

could be soon or it could be as late as the beginning of the 1st semester. (Seantrel's scores were just cleared for school)

Dave Clark needs to finish his class 1 class at Juco.

Dixon has the look of a Non Qualifier...

Not sure what to take from it, but here are some recent twitter updates from Loften:

Chilling just getting in fromshooting pool. Hit the inbox up. Getting a lil closer to that day. Knoxville here i come.

Why is everyone all of a sudden saying Brown won't get it?

Just because he has a heavy load and was at BAR the other night? Or has Hubbs or someone said he is struggling?

According to Loften, on his facebook page a few weeks ago, he qualified. He posted his cell phone number so one of the other players (Dixon) could text him....it had a 865 area code, so I would say he is in knoxville now. The others I dont know anything about.

I was under the assumption that Dixon would likely qualify. He's taking an online course this summer and should be good to go.

Those were his words. He said he'd qualify no problems.

yea he qualified alright... :unsure: his test scores are under review by the NCAA clearinghouse and its the reason he isnt on campus right now.

If needed, I would volunteer to sit in for Brown on his finals. I'm not sure how carefully they check ID's for tests, though.

I'm white, 65 years old, bald headed, with a pot gut, white beard, and one leg.

If the prof is blind, though, it might work -- we need the guy.
