USC was the “It Program” in the late 60s and through the 70s. The Arizona schools were great during that time too. USC, Arizona, and Arizona State combined to win 16 championships from ‘61-‘81. USC won the championship 7 times from ‘68-‘78. Teams west of the Mississippi River have traditionally dominated the sport.

baseball reference has section nn site where yoy can see who played for each school -- tons from usc/

SEC baseball didn’t start to see an uptick on a national scale until the ‘90s but that was really only LSU championships other than Georgia in 1990. 2009 was the year that kickstarted the entire conference dominance. 9 championships by 6 different programs during 14 years from ‘09-‘23. 3 of those 6 programs won it twice. South Carolina very nearly had the three-peat from ‘10-‘12, finishing runner up in 2012. Arizona, UCLA, Oregon State, Virginia, and Coastal Carolina were the other champions during those years.

You nailed it, but I think Tommy Bridges and Ed Bailey could be in the conversation. They were probably our best players historically, until you get to Condredge, Garner and Honeycutt.
But soon, you might have a statue like this of Tony V, outside LNS...
